meet the team

Hi, I’m Morgan.

As a mother to four, I’ve always known that the photographs of my children would become some of the most meaningful things I own. Not the images sitting forgotten on old phones or tucked away on hard drives — but the ones we can hold in our hands, flip through in albums, see framed on our walls, and pass down for generations.

That belief is a huge part of why I built Morgan Horton Photography. I wanted to create more than beautiful images for families — I wanted to help preserve their legacy in a tangible, lasting way.

Because long after the little moments have passed, these photographs become the pieces of our story that remain.

The seasons of life pass so quickly and it can feel so overwhelming to plan photos on top of everything else you already carry. That’s why I guide you through every step of the process — from styling and wardrobe planning to preparing for your session and designing beautiful artwork for your home. You don’t have to stress over the details. I want you to simply show up, slow down, and be present with the people you love most.

To me, photographs are so much more than digital files. They become heirlooms — pieces of your family’s story that your children and grandchildren will hold onto for generations. They freeze the tiny details, the connection, the laughter, the way this season of life felt.

I’m drawn to genuine moments and natural connection — the in-between interactions that often become the most meaningful memories. The way your child reaches for your hand, the laughter between siblings, the quiet snuggles with your newborn. Those are the moments worth preserving.

Every time my own children flip through our albums or walk past the framed photographs hanging in our home, I’m reminded why this work matters so deeply to me.

It would be such an honor to tell your story and create something beautiful and lasting for your family.

Behind the scenes of Morgan Horton Photography is my husband, Brandan — and truly, this business would not be what it is without him.

While you may not always see him front and center, he is such a huge part of everything that keeps this experience running seamlessly for our families. From studio management and the behind-the-scenes details, to marketing, branding, organization, and making sure every part of the client experience feels thoughtful and intentional — he helps bring my vision to life in countless ways every single day.

Brandan also assists during many sessions, helping things flow smoothly and creating a calm, relaxed environment for families. One of the things I love most is the perspective he brings as a dad. He understands the emotions, chaos, love, and connection that come with parenthood in such a genuine way, and that often helps dads feel more comfortable and seen during their session experience.

This business has always been built around family, and getting to build it together has made it even more meaningful. His steady support, creativity, and heart behind what we do are woven into every part of the experience we create for our clients.

Get To Know Us

When we’re not in the studio or documenting beautiful moments for families through Morgan Horton Photography, you’ll usually find us soaking in the simple moments at home with our kids.

We love slow evenings filled with homework around the kitchen table, cooking dinner together, and unwinding after busy days as a family. Brandan is always experimenting with baking fresh bread or trying out new recipes, while I’m usually nearby with an iced coffee during the day or a glass of wine in the evenings.

Some of our favorite memories are made in the little everyday moments — playing baseball in the backyard with the kids, snuggling on the couch with our cats, listening to true crime podcasts together, or finding a new Netflix series to binge after everyone goes to bed.

We’ve learned that life doesn’t have to be extravagant to be meaningful. Often, the most beautiful moments are the quiet ones — the slow mornings, the laughter at dinner, the messy kitchens, the bedtime snuggles, and the connection found in simply being together.

Those are the moments that inspire the way I photograph families. Real connection, genuine emotion, and the beauty found in everyday life.
